The assessment of product groups and efficiency in the use of raw materials and waste management towards sustainable development : case study of the steel manufacturing company in Poland

Sustainable manufacturing is one of the most important issues to address for pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals. It is also one of the areas that has a huge impact on the global sustainability, since it impacts the environment to a large degree. Thus, the aim of the article is to evaluate the product groups and efficiency in the use of raw materials and waste management with the proposition of the directions and changes towards sustainable development. The article uses the methodology of a case study with simplified SWOT analysis based on interviews with employees. The subject of research is an industrial enterprise representing the steel manufacturing sector in Poland.
