One of the unpublished papers in the estate of the late Father Stanisław Plodzień, a Lublin professor of Roman law, is a manuscript entitled Rzymski proces cywilny (The Roman Civil Trial). It was written in the 1950s as a textbook for students. However, the copy preserved in the Library of the Catholic University of Lublin was not considered suitable for printing, and that is why it has not been published. On the other hand, it offers promising materials for research, since issues related to the history and course of the Roman civil trial have not received much attention in the Polish Romanist literature.
