According to the research, non-compliance is a therapeutic and economic problem with a strong consequences affect not only the success of a single patient's therapy but also the costs of the entire health care system. It would be worth identifying factors limiting non-compliance. Therefore, purpose of the paper is recognize the correlations between compliance and the patient's satisfaction with the medical services they receive. The study was carried out using the CATI method on a national representative sample of 982 Polish respondents, who declared that they had used health care services within the last 6 months. It turned out that satisfaction had a statistically significant effect on both the dimensions of behavior linked to patient compliance. This effect, however, was stronger for arbitrariness, i.e. the more satisfied the patient was the less inclined they were to arbitrarily change their doctor’s recommendations.
