One of the decision-making areas in an organization is the employee competences development. Unfortunately, an effective decision-making process is not fully supported nowadays. Dynamic development and dissemination of modern technologies, including data mining tools, could provide appropriate support while making decisions in organizations. Based on the conducted research, the authors of this paper pointed out to classification trees analysis for the selection of training participants. The use of new technologies in the decision-making process seems to minimize the risk within the analyzed problem, although it still leaves out some space for critical human factors. It leads to the conclusion that apart from risk, the inherent category of reality perception, is the category of trust.
