Benefits and socio-economic costs related to the construction of the highway S3 section linking Szczecin and Gorzów Wielkopolski

The importance of the state and development of transport infrastructure and its impact on economic growth and competitiveness of regions is well known and described in the economic literature. It must be remembered that the increase in competitiveness on a regional scale always has its reference microeconomic. The aim of the article is to show the example of the construction section of the S3 expressway between Szczecin and Gorzow Wielkopolski. As the implementation of this project gave a significant measurable and immeasurable economic and social benefits for the regions of Zachodniopomorskie and Lubuskie as well as at the macro level for the entire transport system of the country.
