The last decade has seen further dynamic dissemination of access to the Internet and mobile technologies. In many areas, there is an increasing use of technology, not with the use of personal computers, even in the form of laptops, but with smartphones. The increasing technological possibilities of these devices, faster and faster communication and, what is important, the affordability of devices and services for the majority of society have made them one of the practically indispensable accessories of every human being. The aim of the article is to verify how significantly mobile payment technologies influenced consumer behavior in the area related to meeting transport needs on the example of a selected city by purchasing public transport tickets or parking fees.
