Wpływ uwarunkowań fizjograficznych i historycznych na kształtowanie systemu przyrodniczego miasta na przykładzie Szczecina

Artykuł przedstawia proces kształtowania systemu zieleni miejskiej Szczecina oraz jego strukturalno-funkcjonalny obraz w mieście współczesnym. Na podstawie analizy historycznych planów prześledzono rozwój systemu zieleni w kontekście rozwoju przestrzennego miasta. Uwzględniono etap miasta-twierdzy oraz skok rozwojowy miasta na przełomie XIX-XX w. oraz po II wojnie światowej. Kształtowanie systemu zieleni powiązano z uwarunkowaniami fizjograficznymi miasta, jego leśnym otoczeniem oraz funkcjonowaniem w jego obrębie rozległej doliny rzecznej i licznych zbiorników wodnych. Analizę współczesnego systemu zieleni oparto na podziale funkcjonalnym różnych form zieleni, analizie ich strefowej struktury oraz powiązaniu z systemem przyrodniczym Szczecina i strefy podmiejskiej.

The development of the greenery system of a city is always closely related to the physiographic conditions of the site. The diversity of urban ecosystems related to the city’s historical development trends overlaps with conditions related to its location and natural background. This work presents the process of shaping the urban greenery system of Szczecin (NW Poland) and its structural and functional image in the setting of a contemporary city. In this city surrounded by extensive forest complexes and located in the estuary of a great river, the dependence of the shape of the greenery system on the conditions of the surrounding landscapes is particularly evident. The development of the greenery system in the context of the spatial development of the city was examined on the basis of an analysis of historical and contemporary cartography, with particular emphasis on the post-fortress stage and the developmental jump of the city at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as nationality changes after the Second World War. The analysis of the modern greenery system is based on the functional division of various forms of greenery, the analysis of their structure according to the “belt and wedge” system and their connection with surrounding natural environment systems.
