Szlak dziedzictwa kulturowego jako produkt identyfikujący tożsamość i stymulujący dywersyfikację turystyki w regionie : na przykładzie budowanego Szlaku Gryfitów (Pomorze Zachodnie)

Tematyczne szlaki kulturowe od wielu lat stanowią nierozłączny element przestrzeni turystycznej i krajobrazu kulturowego Polski i Europy. Stanowią one nie tylko zorganizowaną formę ochrony dziedzictwa, ale również kształtują świadomość regionalną oraz zwiększają znaczenie i atrakcyjność obszaru w kontekście ruchu turystycznego. Ich funkcjonowanie w przestrzeni publicznej postrzegane jest często jako przejaw dojrzałości społecznej i administracyjnej w kształtowaniu wizerunku regionu.
Przestrzeń turystyczna Pomorza Zachodniego delimitowana jest w największym stopniu przez walory przyrodnicze regionu oraz bezpośredni dostęp do pojezierzy i wybrzeży Morza Bałtyckiego. Od kilku lat prowadzone są jednak prace i podejmowane działania zmierzające do aktywizacji regionu na rzecz przywracania własnej tożsamości i budowania wizerunku bazującego na historycznym i kulturowym dziedzictwie. Doskonałym przykładem takich działań jest powstanie szlaku tematycznego bazującego na wielowiekowej odrębności Pomorza i jego świetności pod rządami książąt z dynastii Gryfitów. Szlak ma szansę stać się sztandarowym produktem przyczyniającym się nie tylko do umocnienia poczucia tożsamości regionalnej, ale przede wszystkim do rozwoju całorocznej przestrzeni turystycznej, niezależnej od zmasowanego ruchu ukierunkowanego na wypoczynek w rejonie pojezierzy i wybrzeża Bałtyku.

Thematic cultural routes (including separately described heritage routes) for many years have been an inseparable element of tourist space and cultural landscape of Poland and Europe. They are not only an organized form of heritage protection, but they also shape regional identity and increase the importance and attractiveness of the area in the context of tourism. Their functioning in the public space is often perceived as a manifestation of social and administrative maturity in shaping the image of the region. Western Pomerania's tourist space is delimited to the greatest degree by the natural values of the region and direct access to the Lakeland area and the Baltic Sea coastline. However, for the past few years, many works have been carried out and undertaken to activate the region in order to restore its identity and build a new image, based on its historical and cultural heritage. The excellent example of such activities, is the creation of a thematic route based on the centuries-long distinction of Pomerania region and its splendor under the rule of Gryffin dynasty dukes. The route has the potential to become a regional flagship product, contributing not only to the strengthening of regional identity, but also to the development of a year-round tourist space, independent of the mass tourist activity spaces in the Lakeland area and the Baltic coast.
